About the event
Join Artist-in-Residence CJ Carter for a live bronze pour demonstration in partnership with the University of Akron’s Myers School of Art. This special event offers a behind-the-scenes look at Carter’s process, featuring sculptural elements from their upcoming exhibition, Legacy. Blending traditional casting techniques with contemporary themes, the demonstration highlights the transformation of raw material into expressive form.
Guests will have the opportunity to view the studio and works in progress, and connect with Carter during a casual meet-and-mingle following the demonstration, offering deeper insight into the artist’s practice.
Due to the nature of the materials involved in the demonstration, all guests will be required to sign a waiver prior to participation per university guidelines.
