This special event will showcase the thought-provoking works of two exceptional artists, Raja Belle Freeman and Debra DeGregorio, whose creations delve into profound themes that resonate with our shared human experiences.
Raja Belle Freeman presents "Consider This Your Trigger Warning," an evocative exploration of the pressing issue of police brutality. Through her powerful poetry, Raja sheds light on the desensitization of the media to the destruction of people of color and the seeming disposability of black and brown bodies. Her poem, "A Note on Trigger Warnings at the Beginning of Poems," serves as the heartbeat of this exhibit.
