About the event
Step into an evening of inspiring visual art featuring Black artists from across Northeast Ohio!
The Akron Black Artist Guild (ABAG) proudly presents its fifth annual Outlined in Black exhibition, bringing together more than 30 Black artists from across Northeast Ohio for a celebration of creativity, culture, community, and artistic excellence.
The two-day celebration will take place Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Akron Soul Train Gallery, creating space for artists, arts supporters, community members, and advocates to gather, experience new work, and celebrate the people helping shape Northeast Ohio’s creative community.
For five years, Outlined in Black has provided a platform for Black artists to showcase their work while highlighting the breadth and impact of Black creativity throughout the region. The 2026 exhibition continues that tradition while expanding the celebration to recognize individuals whose contributions extend beyond the studio and gallery.
