About the event
Join artist, designer, and educator Kristen Mimms Scavnicky for a two-part, hands-on workshop exploring identity, memory, and self-expression through sculptural form. This immersive experience invites participants to reflect on their personal stories and translate them into a collaborative body of work featured in an upcoming exhibition centered on resilience and renewal.
About the Workshop:
•Part I: Identity to Form—What does identity look like when translated into surface, shape, and texture? This hands-on workshop invites participants to reflect on their personal story and transform it into the design of a sculptural soap object that will be a part of an artistic exhibition about resilience and renewal beginning in June!
•Part II: Color, Scent, and Pour—With design concepts completed in part one, participants will choose color and scent before pouring their soap mixture into their design’s mold. The poured pieces will then be gathered for the exhibition, creating a collaborative collection of…
