David Maynard is a multi-disciplinary artist with a principal focus on printmaking. Over the past five years, Maynard has distanced himself from a twenty-year occupancy as a tattoo artist to dedicate more time to his fine art career. Maynard's paintings, printmaking, and mixed media artwork are an exploration of technique. While the finished piece is the intent, the concept and process are equally, if not more, important. The process allows him to work within a wide array of mediums to communicate feelings he may otherwise not be able to express. 

Maynard draws inspiration from everything encompassing him: the constant bombardment and in-your-face sensory overload that transfixes our society. He is influenced by graphic design layouts and illustrations. His conceptual work reflects the duality of the human experience from frustration, hopelessness, anger, and the fear of death, to joy, love, and hope for something brighter.
