Sujatha Srinivasan

Sujatha Srinivasan, a distinguished artist and master Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and teacher, has been recognized recently with the esteemed Cleveland Arts Prize. With her remarkable talents, she strives to captivate audiences with both her artistry and profound messages. Sujatha's residency involves the creation of a thought-provoking production centered around the human mind. Through her innovative choreography, she fearlessly addresses critical social issues such as women's rights, racism, greed, exploitation, and immigration, adeptly connecting each of these challenges to their deep-seated systemic origins within each individual.


This highly anticipated performance is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024, at 7:00 pm and will be hosted at the Akron Civic Theatre. Audiences can expect to be mesmerized by Sujatha's powerful storytelling, graceful movements, and evocative expressions as she and her dance group shed light on pressing societal matters.
